We gathered a small cohort of stolid riders at Gino's, cadged a passerby into clicking our photos and started off East at about 12:15
On cue, the skies opened.

Our ride was garnished with a driving sleet at 26 degrees. It wasn't warm enough to melt. It wasn't cold enough to blow off the traffic lane and the pointy sleet bits stung our cheeks.

At the midpoint, Wiggie's Bar, we enjoyed a beverage and discovered that , more sleet having accumulated, it is actually possible to do parking lot doughnuts ON A FIXIE not just in a car!
