I'm amazed at how many bikes we
see in for service with toestraps like this:

The end of the strap is tucked in so it's never very secure
That kinda works, but you lose much of the benefit

The intent was more like this

Pulling that strap is quick , even without looking.

Now you're safely aboard your bike,
secured from slipping off the pedal

To release, simply touch the top of the buckle

Or even hit it with the back of your hand

Even a light touch pops the buckle open instantly
