We love Gunnars! They are built at Waterford, Wisconsin by the Waterford Bicycles staff, a very few people dedicated to building America's preeminent specialty steel bicycle Waterford works today's best available materials - the latest seamless butted specialty steels - to create our Gunnar framesets. Gunnars are built on the same tables, Gunnars are painted in the same paint shop and Gunnars are drawn by the same designer as Waterfords. Without any change in quality, Gunnars are essentially Waterfords built in standard sizes , jointed in TIG format without the lugs. When your bike needs to be custom in some way - extra tall or small, an unusual top tube length or some other request, Waterford framesets are designed espressly to your requirements, one at a time, with lots of personal attention . If you buy your suits suits off the rack and normal clothes fit you , Gunnars are built from 46 to 60cm in just a few colors. That means faster delivery. And lower price because this saves an immense amount of material expense and loads of slow meticulously attentive silver brazing. Waterford's skilled staff can and does build both. TIG is faster. Gunnars use clean tough precision formed frame ends and beautiful fork crowns (or choose a trendy Carbon fork if you wish!) and dress in a simple, durable single color finish. A Waterford if you wish, of course, but custom isn't always necessary.
